Vacations by Air, Land, or Sea has partnered with Allianz to offer travel and trip protection - not just for cruises, but for any trip you may take within, or outside of your health insurance coverage area.
We recommend travel insurance for any trips outside of the United States, and even for trips within the States. Travel insurance is an inexpensive yet essential tool for helping cope with potential trip interruptions, lost or damaged luggage, and sometimes if the worst happens - dealing with medical emergencies. Each ship will have medical staff on board, but treatment is not included in the cruise fare. Additionally, if someone experiences a medical emergency that requires evacuation from the ship, or to be left behind at a non-US cruise port, cost for evacuation and transportation back to the United States can cost tens of thousands of dollars.
